NEILSTON TRAIN STATION

T is for the train that comes into the station.

R is for the rumbling of the train along the track.

A is for the atmosphere of the eight o'clock rush.

1 is for the idiots who run along the track.

N is for the Neilstoners for whom this is just routine.

S is for the shouting that is heard on weekday mornings.

T is for the tantrums had by those who are late.

A is for the astonishment of going to school again.

T is for the ticket booth where 1 go to pay my fare.

1 is for the icicles that are there on winter mornings.

0 is for the on and off, on and off, day in, day out.

N is for the Neilston Train Station that has been here for one hundred years.
