From the clanging of the metal, To the grinding of the wheels, To thesteaming of the engine, In the past one hundred years.
The Neilston trains have been running, For the past one hundred years; Their engines have been churning, For the past one hundred years.
From coal and supplies, To passengers with ties, The trains have been victorious, In the past one hundred years.
The steam trains have sung their song, And the electric trains have sung along; The Neilston trains will go on and on, For the next one hundred years.
