My First Train Journey

The first time I went to Neilston Train Station was when I was four years old. I was going to Rouken Glen Park with the Neilston Madras Nursery; we were going to get off at Whitecraigs Nursery and walk cl short distance to the park. As we were walking to the train station I was excited at the fact that I was going on a train and I was happily talking to my friends. When we arrived at the train station I couldn't wait to go onto the train but also a little nervous because I wasn't with my parents. As the train come in to turn around I was even more excited at the fact that it was with my friends and what it would feel like as it was racing down the track. Before this I had always wanted to go on a train as a train track was in eyesight from the nursery and I went by the Neilston Train Station. As the train come in the teachers tried to get us on the train in a orderly manner but it was too late. As soon as the train stopped and the doors opened everyone ran into the train and everyone was in the train in a second. As it started to leave the station I looked out the window. As the train slowly started to pick up speed and as we went by the Neilston Primary School in the distance I saw the nursery slow disappear; behind the much larger primary school was the Nursery. As the train moved on and went out of the village it turned in to a vast green scene with a lot of f ields and I con still remember some animals in the f ields such as cows, sheep, horses etc. As we travelled by, roads and fields and over and under bridges I didn't talk much because I was too busy looking out of the window. To my left and behind a lot of fields was the City of Glasgow and I saw how big Glasgow was and as I was small I was surprised at how big it was. As the train continued on its journey we went over a large bridge that crosses over a dam and I was surprised again because before this I had never seen a dam before. When we went under a motorway we started to come into the town of Newton Mearns and the train stopped at Patterton. I saw my people get on but I didn't take too much notice of them as I was still looking out the window even though there wasn't anything to look at. When the train picked up speed again I realised just how fast the train was running bouncing about on the track at blistering heat. As we went through the town I saw a lot of houses, roads, trees, cars shops and we even went by a golf f ield. As we arrived at Whitecraigs station I couldn't wait to get into the park but I also couldn't wait to get the train journey back to Neilston.
