NEILSTON RAILWAY STATION

Neilston Railway Station.

Evenings, mornings, days.

In the red painted shelter.

Listening for your train.

Softly have some pride for your

Town and its celebration

On this day passes 100 years.

Neilston Railway Station.

Roars are heard along the track.

Along travels the Scotrail train.

Inside you step through the sliding doors.

Loving and warm comfortable chairs.

Which way are you going?

A ticket man abruptly calls,

You pay your money and off you go to Glasgow Central.

Several stations are left behind.

Travelling to your destination.

A return to Neilston in your mind.

To join the celebration.

Ideas are f lowing through your head

One sticks and it's 'return', so off you go to join your people at

Neilston Railway Station.
