Neilston Train Station

I have lived in Neilston since I was two years old and since then I have noticed that the train station is an important part of Neilston. I use the train station almost every day going to and f rom my school or going to Newton Mearns or into Glasgow.

It is hard to believe that the station is going to be one hundred years old and also that something so old is used regularly by hundreds of people. I never realised it was one hundred years old because it is in good condition. I have a lot of memories of the train station such as when I went on a train with my dad for the f irst time going into Glasgow and I was so excited at the time because I gave the ticket man the tickets which seems really sad when I think about it now. Another experience I remember is when I went into Glasgow with my friends. I was a little bit scored because I had hardly been to Glasgow with my parents and so I didn't have a clue where to go but fortunately for me friends did but the thing that did scare me was what if I got the wrong train because Central is so busy and I didn't really understand how to get to the platform. I wanted to go home but I got back to Neilston with no problems. So I have had a lot of experiences to do with Neilston station and I am amazed that it is still running.
