Train Journey
Screeching, hissing, sparks and lights,
Speeding, skidding through the night.
Street lights passing like fires flies,
Glowing in the dark nightskies.
Train lit gently, curtains closed,
Babies crying, the elderly doze.
Trees zoom past like racing cars,
Aisles lit softly just like stars.
Adrenalin rush as we move so fast;
Blink and you'll miss what just f ew post.
Wheels screech as they scratch on the line;
The journey takes forever but I don't notice the time.
The train moves smoothly and manages to keep
The some pace all night.
I too fall asleep.
