Neilston station
Every morning I awake to find I have to go on
the
train from Neilston to Patterton. I jump in the
car at five past eight to catch the ten past
eight. I get out the car and run to my friends
and talk about the night before.
Imagine that a hundred years ago stood my
granny's mum with her tatty scones waiting for
her husband to arrive from the rail. There she
would stand with the train chugging to a halt.?the
whistle blows. There he is standing smiling.
There is the train pulling up to me ? I climb
aboard
the old train tracks below. I sit and wonder how
it could have been a hundred years ago on these
old tracks?3also wonder in another hundred years
will this station still be here? It's the heart
of Neilston.
