Since it's inauguration in January 2000 Primera has grown rapidly in membership
and prestige. The society has gained a reputation for quality contemporary
paintings and sculpture. Primera welcomes painters and sculptors from
throughout the world to join us in our venture to develop an international
society of visual artists and art lovers. Primera has generated excitement
attracting respected Scottish artists together with our first European
artists. Primera Management Council is entirely voluntary made up of practicing
artists, painters and sculptors together with Associate members. The Council
enjoy having the opportunity to create this exciting new focus for contemporary
art. They wish to thank East Renfrewshire council for the tremendous support
they have been given. A comment recorded by a visitor to Primera's recent
exhibition sums up its success. "Truly Inspirational" May McMaster,President.
